Abstract: A mobile communications system includes means for selecting in a group call from a first one of the mobile stations to a plurality of selected others of the mobile stations which of the service areas of the system the call will be sent to. The selection means comprises a database of locations of mobile stations in the system and a processor which is operable to select the service areas or areas of the system to which the call from the first mobile station will be routed or will be recommended to the caller so that mobile stations in the group may be contacted in these areas.
