Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display surface plate capable of sticking a plurality of respective different phosphor substances in a single process. SOLUTION: In this image display surface plate 101, a plurality of recessed parts (depressions) 102 for receiving dispersed phosphor liquid droplets are formed, and a conformal metallization layer 107 is overlaid on it. A phosphor system can be distributed on the surface plate without the need to execute multiple times of continuous sticking, masking and substance removal processes, and the different phosphor substances 103, 103b and 103c constituting the phosphor system can be stuck in the single process. An image display faceplate having a plurality of recesses (dimples) formed therein for receiving discrete phosphor droplets and having a conformal metallization layer disposed thereon is provided. The phosphor system so described may be dispensed onto the faceplate without the need for multiple sequential depositions, maskings, and material removals and provides for a single step deposition of dis-similar phosphor materials of which the phosphor system is comprised.
