    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for determining signal usability, based on RF channel interference detection. SOLUTION: A receiver receives a stream of altered information symbols to generate an altered stream. The receiver determines fading signal representation from the altered stream, generates a determined fading signal, and determines the information symbol representation in a symbol stream from the altered stream, to generate the determined information symbol. The receiver determines the desired portion of the altered stream based on the determined information symbol and the determined fading signal, and determines an non-desired portion of the altered stream, based on the altered stream's desired portion and the altered stream.
