Abstract:
The method includes representing (72) first (12) and second (14) signal transmission sources in a memory (50), the first signal transmission source (12) having a first set (45) of signal radiation patterns and the second signal transmission source (14) having a second set (45) of signal radiation patterns. One signal radiation pattern (40, 42, 44) for transmission of a frequency is selected (74, 76) from both the first set and the second set of signal radiation patterns. A power value of the frequency is determined (78) at a point within the wireless communication system (10), and the determined power level of the frequency is compared (80) with a desired power level of the frequency. After the comparison, another signal radiation pattern (40, 42, 44) is automatically selected (82) for transmission of the frequency from one of the first set (45) and the second set (45) of signal radiation patterns.
