    Abstract: An improved connector for flex (28) shafts for a string trimmer is disclosed herein. The connector has an input area (26) and a drive area (16), where the input area of the connector has a modified diamond shape with sloping sides. This diamond shape allows for easy and reliable connection of the driven working end.
