    Abstract: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming mechanism including a motor, and an image forming unit which operates by the motor to form an image on a recording sheet; a registration unit which registers a job; a control unit which controls the image forming mechanism to form an image corresponding to the job registered through the registration unit on a recording sheet; a number obtaining unit which obtains the number of recording sheets required for the job registered through the registration unit; and a setting unit which sets a rotation speed of the motor according to the number of recording sheets obtained by the number obtaining unit. The control unit controls the image forming mechanism to form the image corresponding to the job registered through the registration unit on the recording sheet by rotating the motor at the rotation speed set by the setting unit.

    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an electric motor provided to drive a movable object such that a detected actual amount of motion of a movable portion of the electric motor or the movable object coincides with a target amount, comprising: a control-condition changing device operable to change at least one of (a) a resolution of detection of the actual amount of motion and (b) a voltage to be applied to the electric motor, depending upon the target amount; and a feedback motor controller operable to control the electric motor by application of the voltage, on the basis of the actual amount of motion detected with the resolution of detection and the target amount, such that the detected actual amount of motion coincides with the target amount. Also disclosed is a motor control method wherein the resolution of detection of the actual amount of motion and/or the voltage of the motor is/are changed depending upon the target amount of motion.

    Abstract: The conveyance control device includes a detector that detects the conveyance distance of an object by a conveyance device, a section determiner that determines to which section within an object a reference point of the object belongs, and a target setter, based on a determination result of the section determiner, sets the target conveyance speed corresponding to the section to which the reference point belongs.     Abstract: A conveyance device includes a linear encoder that outputs an encoder signal corresponding to displacement of a conveyed object.
