    Abstract: When a speaker device is within communication range of an electronic device, various rules are used to determine whether to connect to or route audio data to the speaker device. For example, the electronic device may prompt the user to choose whether to connect to a wireless speaker device. In situations in which the user rejects connecting to the wireless speaker device, subsequent attempts by the speaker device to connect to the electronic device are also rejected or ignored without further prompting the user, or the wireless speaker device may be connected to the electronic device but audio data not routed to the wireless speaker device. By way of another example, the electronic device may determine whether to route audio data to a wireless speaker device based on signal strength and link quality metrics for wireless communication between the electronic device and one or more wireless speaker devices.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a wireless communication device, a non-transient memory device, and one or more processors operable with the wireless communication device and the non-transient memory device. The one or more processors identify a companion device electronically in communication with the wireless communication device as being a wearable glass projection device when a received extended display identification (EDID) extension(s) from the companion device include a non-zero field of view, pixel density, and/or interpupillary distance value. The one or more processors can render content for the wearable glass projection device as a function of the non-zero field of view, pixel density, and/or interpupillary distance value, and can optionally apply a rendering adjustment to the content as a function of optical data associated with a user of the electronic device stored in the non-transient memory device.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a first device housing and a second device housing, with a hinge coupling the first device housing to the second device housing such that the first device housing is pivotable about the hinge relative to the second device housing between a closed position and an axially displaced open position. At least one inertial motion unit is situated in the first device housing and determines an orientation of the first device housing in three-dimensional space, delivering the same in an orientation determination signal. An inertial motion unit adjustment engine, activated by at least one predefined condition of electronic device, can apply at least one correction factor to the orientation determination signal when activated to create a modified orientation determination signal.
