    Abstract: PURPOSE: To eliminate the need to adjust sensitivity and to perform mass-production by arranging vibrating pieces of a tuning fork type vibrator inside and outside a case sealed to a body to be detected and detecting a load directly by the vibrating piece outside the case.
    CONSTITUTION: The load detecting device is constituted by fitting the earth terminal 24 of the tuning fork type vibrator 23 to a printed board 22 and arranging a vibrating piece 23a outside the case 20 and the other vibrating piece 23b inside the case 20. Consequently, when the load of toner mass is placed on the vibrating piece 23a of the tuning fork vibrator 23 which is arranged outside the case 20, this vibration circuit stops oscillating or decreases in the amplitude of an oscillation output voltage. Consequently, the presence of toner is detected from the stop of vibration or decrease in the amplitude of the vibration output voltage. In this case, there is no variation in sensitivity caused by an inclusion between the vibrating piece which detects the load and the boby to be detected, so that the device which eliminates the need for sensitivity adjustment and is easily mass-produced is obtained.
