Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a PC card from being taken out from a PC card slot without stopping access to the PC card by stopping issuing an alarm in the state of locking the card slot or state of stopping supplying power to the PC card. SOLUTION: By turning on/off a transistor 5 corresponding to a change in the voltage level of a PC card power supply control signal, the supply of PC card power is controlled. Besides, a control part 6 judges the state of opening/closing of an opening/closing cover and the state of supplying PC card power based on a voltage level on the side of a switch 2 and the voltage level of the PC card power supply control signal, and it controls sounding or stopping of an alarm buzzer 7. The control part 6 is composed of the CPU of equipment and a card eject detection program. Besides, the entire equipment including the supply control of PC card power is controlled by a system control part for controlling the entire equipment and in a power save mode or the like, for example, the supply of PC card power is stopped.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the change of the carrying distance of a paper sheet to be printed even in the case of the reduced diameter of a platen roller due to a secular change, and prevent the slippage of an actual printing position to a position designated by a format, even in the case of printing on the paper sheet of a routine format. SOLUTION: This printer is composed of a motor control part 12 for feeding a pulse to a stepping motor 11 to control a rotation angle, a number of pulse count part 13 for counting the number of pulses fed to the motor 11 during a paper sheet is carried in a predetermined moving distance by a detected signal from a photosensor 4, and the number-of-pulse designation part 14 for designating the number of pulses in carrying the paper sheet at one dot line part, relative to the control part 12; and the designation part 14 corrects the number of pulses to be designated to the control part 12 based on the number of pulses counted in the counting part 13.

The memory 3 constitutes a ring buffer. Consequently CPU operation can be traced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To discriminate batteries by capacities and the individual management of batteries of the same capacity by providing an ID signal generator. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 1 detects that an Nicd battery using apparatus or a battery charger is connected to an Nicd battery charger pack. A controller 2 reads the setting condition of a DIP switch 3 to set the ID number according to the above detection, and outputs it to the apparatus using Nicd battery and to the battery charger as a serial signal. As a result, the discrimination by the capacity of the Nicd battery, or the individual management of batteries of the same capacity can be carried out.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain preventive maintenance before trouble occurs by counting the frequency of depression of a key and comparing it with the preset life frequency of depression of the key, and generating an alarm when the key is pressed exceeding the life frequency of depression. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a decoder 12 which generates a key code corresponding to a key of a keyboard main body 11 when the key is depressed and plural registers 13 which are provided on the keyboard main body 11 corresponding to respective keys and count up by one every time the corresponding keys are depressed. The contents of each register 13 are compared with the predetermined life frequency and when the contents of the register 13 exceed the life frequency, a CPU 14 generates an alarm code; and a communication control part 16 sends the key code from the decoder 12 and the alarm code from the CPU 14 to a computer 15. Consequently, the maintenance and replacement become possible before trouble occurs.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain data communication through the use of a telephone line and further to utilize the telephone set as a data terminal equipment by adopting the structure for the telephone set such that a memory card is loadable to the telephone set and providing a memory card reader/writer able to read/write a data to be sent/received to / from the memory card to the telephone set. CONSTITUTION:The telephone set is provided with a communication control section 12 making data communication with an exchange 20 and a memory card reader/writer 13 connecting to the communication control section 12. In the case of data transmission, the communication control section 12 connects a MODEM in the section to a selected telephone line and a digital data to be sent and read from a memory card 40 to the memory card reader/writer 13 is modulated into a line frequency signal used for the telephone line by the MODEM and the result is sent. In the case of data reception conversely, the line frequency signal received through the telephone line is demodulated into a digital data by the MODEM and the data is written in the memory card 40 by using the memory card reader/writer 13. Thus, it is not required to carry the data terminal equipment and an acoustic coupler and the data communication using the public telephone set is implemented easily.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To protect the memory contents by outputting an alarm signal to a CPU when the push of a release button is detected then outputting a signal to a memory buffer to inhibit the R/W operations of a memory when detection of the exclusion of a battery. CONSTITUTION:A release button switch 1 is used for taking out a battery, and a sensor 2 detects the come-off of the battery. These switch 1 and sensor 2 are connected to a control circuit 3 which is connected to a CPU 4 and a memory buffer 5. The power is always supplied to the circuit 3 and the buffer 5 from a secondary battery 6. Then the circuit 3 outputs an alarm signal to the CPU 4 with detection of the push of the button 2 and then outputs a signal to the buffer 5 to inhibit the R/W operations of a memory with detection of the take-out of the battery. Thus it is possible to prevent the destruction of the memory contents when a working battery is inadvertently excluded due to an operating mistake.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To continue a processing under execution after exchanging a battery bag by providing a contact at a knob for detaching the battery bag and executing an interruption processing by a CPU while operating this contact before power supply is disconnected by pulling the battery bag off. CONSTITUTION:A contact 3 is fitted to a knob 2 for detaching a battery bag 1 so as to be operated while being interlocked with the knob, and a capacitor 6 with large capacity is parallelly inserted to a power supply line parallelly with the battery bag 1. When the knob 2 for detaching is suddenly pushed for detaching the battery bag 1 while turning a power source on, the contact 3 is operated. This operation is detected by an interruption control circuit 5 and an NM 1 signal is generated to request the interruption processing with the highest priority order to a CPU 4. Then, the CPU 4 immediately stop the processing under execution. Thus, even when the battery bag 1 is suddenly pulled off, the processing under execution can be continued after the recovery, and stored data can be prevented from being destroyed or deleted.
