Abstract: An active noise cancellation system for attenuating both mechanical vibration and the acoustic noise occasioned by the operation of vibratory feeder bowls in manufacturing having an accelerometer (58) adjacent the feeder bowl and an inertial actuator (57) for detecting the mechanical vibration and generating the disturbance for attenuating the vibration respectively, microphones (56, 57) and loudspeakers (52, 53) for detecting the acoustic noise and generating the counter acoustic noise respectively, and a controller (59) to control both the disturbances.
