    Abstract: A method includes facilitating receipt of first media content 502 comprising a first audio track 510 and a first video track 530, and second media content 506 comprising a second audio track. Section mapping between a first 512-526 and a second 552-566 plurality of audio sections associated with the first and second audio tracks, respectively is performed to determine a plurality of mapping audio sections. Relative position of at least one video transition 532-542 with respect to the audio section is determined. The first video track is modified based on a relative position of a corresponding at least one video transition in a mapping audio section. The method enables a background audio track to be replaced with a different audio track or one of better quality. The replacement audio track may be of different duration or length. Speed of playback may be changed to match section length or a video section may be cropped or filled.

    Abstract: A section of electronic text is semantically analysed to identify a potential graphical representation for at least one feature, such as a physical aspect of a scene or character, depicted in the text. The image, animation, scene, diagram or picture may subsequently be displayed with the text section. It may also be changed, manipulated, swapped, confirmed or otherwise customized or selected by a user. Multiple iterations of semantic analysis on the section of text may identify more features. Features may include physical aspects such as size, colour, shape, shading and spatial relationships such as size, position, shape and spacing. Multiple graphics may be associated with the same text portion and the user may scroll and select between them, the graphics may also be ranked according to user profile match criteria. Earlier or subsequent graphical representations may be displayed in a timeline and selecting an image from the time line may display an associated text portion. The images may be two or three dimensional and may be virtual bookmarks or illustrations in e-books, narratives, e-magazines, social media messages or user generated content.

    Abstract: Typically, cinemagraphs are still photographs in which a minor or repeated movement occurs. The invention relates to providing audio processing functionality for cinemagraphs or visual animations. The invention comprises means for carrying out the steps of: analysing at least two images to determine at least one region common to the at least two images; determining at least one parameter associated with a motion of at least one region; determining at least one playback signal, such as an audio file, to be associated with the at least one region; and processing the at least one playback signal based on the at least one parameter. The invention allows a user easily and without significant skill to generate a cinemagraph with audio or tactile effects. Thus a user may select a region of interest 203, select an audio file 205 and select a frame for synchronizing with beat 209. The effects may be generated and embedded as metadata including audio effects signals or links to such signals.
