Abstract:
Abstract:
A method comprising determining a view from a location, the view comprising visual information that is perceivable along a direction extending from the location, causing display of a visual representation of the view on a display such that the view is viewable by a user at a focal depth, determining a different view from the location, the different view comprising visual information that is perceivable along a different direction extending from the location, and causing display of a visual representation of the different view on the display such that the different view is viewable by the user at a different focal depth is disclosed.

Abstract:
An internal optical projection element 22 is configured to project light 23 internally towards an eye 2of a user of the apparatus. An external optical projection element 32 is configured to project light 33 externally away from an eye of the user. One or more optical engines 20 are configured to provide light to the internal and external optical projection elements. The apparatus may be a see-through head mounted display (HMD) or near-eye device (NED) The externally projected light may be an alert or warning to third parties when a user of the apparatus is recording information. A light guide (5, figure 2) may be used to transfer light from the optical engine 20 to optical projection elements (32, 22, figure 2).
Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer program are provided. The method comprises: obtaining, from at least one detector of a wearable device, a first detection of at least one bio-signal from at least one user; controlling a user output device of an electronic device to initiate a user alert, after obtaining the first detection of the at least one bio-signal, wherein the electronic device is different from the wearable device; obtaining, from the at least one detector of the wearable device, a second detection of the at least one bio-signal from the at least one user, wherein the second detection is performed after initiating the user alert; and processing the first detection of the at least one bio-signal and the second detection of the at least one bio-signal to determine whether one or more changes in the at least one bio-signal pass a significance test.
Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to permit audio signals to provide additional information to a user regarding the distance to the source of the audio signals, thereby increasing a user's situational awareness. In the context of a method, a distance and a direction from a user to an object are determined. The method also scales the distance to the object to create a modified distance within a predefined sound field region about the user. The method also causes an audio cue relating to the object to be audibly provided to the user. The audio cue is such that the object appears to be located within the predefined sound field region in the direction and at the modified distance from the user from the user.
