Abstract:
A liquid display gun is disclosed wherein a spray pattern control valve assembly (32) is located internally of the gun. The spray pattern control valve assembly includes a two position air flow valve (102) movable between a first position wherein low air flow is supplied through the valve to a second position wherein high air flow is provided through the valve. The valve assembly has two adjustable stops (151. 154) operable to fix the low air flow and the high air flow positions of the valve. Manual pressure on the end of the shank (106) of the valve, controls movement between the two positions.

A liquid dispensing gun wherein a spray pattern control valve is located internally of the gun. The spray pattern control valve is in the form of a two position air flow valve movable between a first position wherein low air flow is supplied through the valve to a second position wherein high air flow is provided through the valve. The valve has two adjustable stops operable to fix the low air flow and the high air flow positions of the valve. Manual pressure on the stem of the valve controls movement between the two positions.

Abstract:
An apparatus to regulate the pressure of liquid supplied to devices for the spray coating of articles for particular use in electrostatically paint spraying systems comprises a plurality of regulator valves (32) each having an inlet (74) in communication with a source (30) of pressurized liquid, an outlet (77) connected to a spray coating device, a valve member (48, 65) positioned therebetween, and a by-pass passage (35) connected to the inlet (74), the passages (35) of the regulator valves (32) being connected in series with each other so that liquid is supplied from the source (30) to each inlet (74) with the mimimum drop of pressure across any valve.
