    Abstract: The rolling device of the present invention utilizes any one of 1) a lubricant containing a liquid fluorinated polymer oil having a kinetic viscosity at -20° C. falling within a range of between 100 mm2/sec and 3,000 mm2/sec and a vapor pressure at 50° C. not higher than 2x10-4 Torr, 2) a lubricant containing a liquid fluorinated polymer oil having a kinetic viscosity at 40° C. falling within a range of between 10 mm2/sec and 400 mm2/sec and having a kinetic viscosity at 100° C. falling within a range of between 3 mm2/sec and 80 mm2/sec, and 3) a lubricant constituted by a grease composition containing a mixture of a liquid fluorinated polymer oil having a kinetic viscosity at 40° C. falling within a range of between 10 mm2/sec and 400 mm2/sec as a base oil and a thickening agent.

    Abstract: A rolling bearing comprising outer and inner rings 1, 3 having outer and inner ring raceways 4, 2 respectively, rolling elements 5, 19 which are disposed so as to rotate between the aforementioned raceways, an cage 6 for distributing the rolling elements evenly in their rotational direction between the raceways having cage pockets 8, 21 with openings 23 between 80-93 % (A) of the diameter C of the rolling element 5, 19 and wherein the rolling bearing arrangement is used with a fluoro-containing polymer lubricant 14 or in an atmosphere comprising a gas containing fluoride. The specific arrangement also comprises a weld line 26, a clamping area D and clamping fingers 24. The arrangement aims to reduce the wear on components, such as vacuum pumps, which operate in severe conditions and also improves the lubrication performance.

    Abstract: A rolling bearing having a long life and used for, e.g. a vacuum pump under severe conditions of low-pressure atmosphere, high-speed rotation, high temperature, fluorine lubricant lubrication. A full complement angular ball bearing (with no retainer) the contact angle of which is 10 to 45{, preferably 15 to 30{ is used. Therefore, the number of balls is large, the contact pressure between the inner and outer rings and the balls is low, and the degree of spin slip due to the fluctuating load is reduced, thereby decreasing the wear. The surface roughensses of the inner and outer rings are restricted, the ratios of the roughensses to the rolling elements are restricted, the content of Cr in the alloy steel of the rolling elements is restricted, the rolling elements are made of an oxide ceramic or a dense nitride layer is formed on the surface of the rolling elements, any foreign matters the average diameter of which exceeds 3 žm are prevented from being present on the raceway surfaces of the outer and inner rings, and a coating harder than the raceway surfaces of the outer and inner rings is provided on the surfaces of the rolling elements. As a result, the life of the rolling bearing is prolonged.
