Abstract: A connector is provided for fluid communication between two anatomical compartments through at least one anatomical wall, wherein the connector includes a neck adapted and configured to be positioned across the anatomical wall(s); a primary element for securing the neck across the anatomical wall(s); and a secondary element for securing the neck across the anatomical wall(s). A method is also provided for coupling two anatomical walls using said connector.
