Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit capable of shortening a preheating time by a heater which is necessary in recovering from a power failure state or powering-on without causing the instability of operation, a high-frequency circuit system, and a heater voltage control method. SOLUTION: In recovering from a power failure, a voltage higher than that in a normal operation is supplied to a heater, and, after a lapse of a preset time, a voltage supplied to the heater is changed over to a voltage in the normal operation, and a control signal for starting the operation of an electron tube is outputted. Alternatively, in turning power on, the rate of change of a heater current is determined in each period of time, when the rate of change is set to a value not larger than a preset threshold, a voltage higher than that in the normal operation is supplied to the heater; and, after a lapse of the preset time, the voltage to be supplied to the heater is changed over to the voltage in the normal operation, and a control signal for starting the operation of the electron tube is outputted. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collector electrode contributing to further downsizing and a higher output of an electron tube, and an electron tube equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The collector electrode provided by the electron tube is formed with the use of a composite material of molybdenum and copper, or a composite material of tungsten and copper. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling wave tube suppressing heat conductivity reduction of a contact part between a metal tape and a coaxial inner conductor to suppress a reduction in heat radiating capacity of heat from a helix. SOLUTION: The traveling wave tube includes the helix realizing mutual action of an externally input high frequency signal and electron beams, the U-shaped metal tape attached to an end of the helix at its bottom and the coaxial internal conductor inputting/outputting the high frequency signal to/from the helix. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun with little individual difference due to variation in manufacture, and with good electron emission property. SOLUTION: An electron gun is provided with a cathode pellet discharging electrons, a heater cap integrating a heater imparting heat energy for discharging electrons to the cathode pellet, a Wehnelt electrode for focusing an electron beam in which the average angle of a surface against the outermost shell of the electron beam is formed to be a shape matching a pierced angle, and a retainer installing and fixing the cathode pellet on the heater cap by restraining the periphery edge of the cathode pellet to the heater cap and a part covering the periphery edge of an electron discharging surface of the cathode pellet works as a part of the Wehnelt electrode.
