Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cleaning composition comprising: (a) at leat one additive selected from the group consisting of detergents, corrosion inhibitors, organic and aqueous carriers, and combinations thereof, (b) a wetting/cleaning agent selected from the group consisting of piperazine-substituted organosulfonates, piperazinone-substituted organosulfonates, and combinations thereof, and (c) a surfactant selected from the group consisting of alcohol alkoxylates, organic and inroganic salts of polycarboxylated alcohol alkoxylates, and combinations thereof. Also disclosed is an adhesive composition containing the above wetting agent, as well as a method of cleaning a substrate and a method of enhancing adhesion to a substrate using the above wetting agent.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for producing a gel-free dispersion or solution of copper pyrithione by an ion-exchange reaction using a reaction mixture of a copper salt and a pyrithione salt in the presence of at least one surfactant. Also claimed is the dispersion or solution itself, as well as a solid particulate copper pyrithione composition comprising copper pyrithione particles having a particle shape selected from the group consisting of rods, spheres, needles, platelets and combinations thereof, and optionally containing at least a trace amount of a surfactant on the outer surface of at least a portion of the particles. The products are useful in the manufacture of biocides.
Abstract:
A biodegradable aqueous filter cleaning formulation containing effective amounts of at least one biodegradable carboxylic acid or its salts, at least one nonionic biodegradable surfactant based on oxyalkylated linear alcohols, and a water soluble organic solvent such as monoalkyl ether of propylene glycols and other polypropylene glycols.
