Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus is disclosed having an upper portion mounted to a surface cleaning head, a portable surface cleaning unit mounted to the upper portion, an above floor cleaning wand removably receivable in the upper portion, and a wand lock having a locked position in which the wand is secured to the upper portion and an unlocked position in which the wand is removable from the upper portion. Der obere Teil kann das Saugrohr stabilisieren, wenn das Saugrohr auf bewegungsübertragende Weise an den Reinigungskopf angebaut ist. Eine elektrisch angeschlossene Luftleitung kann die elektrische Verbindung zwischen dem Flächenreinigungskopf und der Reinigungseinheit herstellen.
