    Abstract: A method and device for setting hair relies on the use of a hair setting process in which, after partial drying but before unrolling of the hair from curlers or rollers on which it is wound after moist treatment, the hair is subjected to a conditioning step in an atmosphere having a relative humidity of from 36 to 80% at a temperature of from 35 DEG to 75 DEG C. and for a period of from 5 to 60 minutes.

    Abstract: Procédé et dispositif pour réaliser une mise en forme de cheveux, dans lequel on soumet les cheveux à un traitement humide, on enroule les cheveux sur des corps de formes appropriées servant de bigoudis, on assure le séchage des cheveux ainsi enroulés et on déroule les cheveux après séchage. Il est caractérisé par le fait qu'avant de dérouler les cheveux mais après les avoir séché suffisamment pour qu'ils présentent une perte en eau par rapport à leur état initial avant le traitement humide, on soumet lesdits cheveux, pendant un temps compris entre 5 mn et 60 mn environ, à une phase de conditionnement pratiquée dans une atmosphère ayant une hygrométrie relative comprise entre 35 et 80% environ, à une température comprise entre 35.degree.C et 75.degree.C environ.

    Abstract: A superheated vapor generator including a porous material substantially filling an annular space between two concentric spaced apart tubular inner and outer electrodes connected across a power source. A pump is provided to pump a predetermined quantity of liquid into the porous material to temporarily complete the circuit through the electrodes and generate superheated vapor or steam. Since the liquid itself completes the circuit, no switches or controls are required. Labyrinthe passages between the pump and the inlet to the annular space and between the interior surface of the inner electrode and a tubular steam discharge outlet prevents dangerous current leakage and assure generation of superheated vapor. An electrically grounded porous metal plug in the vapor outlet minimizes electrical shock hazards. The vapor generator is held in the hand and can be used for setting or treating human hair.

    Abstract: A container for storing and dispensing a liquid product includes a pump operated by a reciprocable control member and associated with a pneumatic servo system. The actuation is achieved by supply of gas pressure, for example, from a reservoir of gas at a pressure of the order of 5 bars, and this is used to actuate the control member of the pump, for example a stepped piston incorporating a pressure multiplying effect. Much higher operating forces on the reciprocable control member can be achieved with this system than were possible by purely manual operation of the valve control member.
