Abstract:
Disclosed herein are cosmetic compositions comprising (a) at least one ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound and (b) at least one photoinitiator system comprising at least one photoinitiator having at least one absorption wavelength greater than about 350 nm. Also disclosed herein are methods of making up and/or enhancing the appearance of a keratinous substrate comprising (1) forming at least one film on the keratinous substrate by applying said cosmetic composition to the keratinous substrate and (2) exposing the film to UV-LED radiation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition, especially a cosmetic composition, comprising at least one acrylic thickener and at least one oil, as well as to methods of using such compositions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a nail polish composition comprising: at least one high gloss film forming agent chosen from a styrene maleic anhydride copolymer; at least one co-film forming agent chosen from an epoxy resin; at least one reactive agent chosen from a combination of a polyalkyleneamine and a polyurethane, at least one polyalkyleneamine, and at least one alkoxysilane comprising at least one solubilizing functional group; at least one solvent chosen from at least one volatile solvent and water; optionally, at least one plasticizer; and optionally, at least one colorant, wherein the composition does not require use of nitrocellulose and can be used to makeup or protect nails.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a mascara composition comprising at least one oil- dispersible micronized wax which, if desired, can be processed at room temperature.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition comprising (1 ) at least one polar modified polymer, (2) at least one compound selected from a hyperbranched polyol having at least two hydroxyl groups, a sugar silicone surfactant, and a gelling agent.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure relates to photosensitive capsules (sometimes referred to as "smart capsules") and sunscreen compositions comprising the capsules that automatically adjust the Sun Protection Factor ("SPF") of the sunscreen composition during use to provide protection against ultraviolet ("UV") light, as needed, based on actual exposure to UV light. The photosensitive capsules comprise: (i) a polymeric photosensitive degradable shell; and (ii) one or more UV filters encapsulated by the photosensitive degradable shell, wherein the one or more UV filters is released from the photosensitive degradable shell upon exposure to UV light.
