Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dye composition suitable as a coupler for an oxidation dyeing, capable of providing a strong and light coloration in a wide range of color tones, being nonselective, having excellent resistance to various treatments which a keratin fiber undergoes. SOLUTION: This oxidation dye composition is obtained by containing an oxidation base and a coupler selected from a compound of formula (I) (R1 is hydrogen or a carbon-containing group; X is OR5 or NR6R7 group; R2, R3 and R4 are each hydrogen, a halogen atom, a carbon-containing group, or the like; Y is hydrogen, a halogen, a fixed group, or the like) or its acid addition salt in a medium suitable for dyeing.
