Abstract: A method of operating an infotainment system including: transmitting a public key request for the infotainment system, the public key request including a hardware identification number that identifies the infotainment system; receiving a public key for the infotainment system; saving the public key and content or firmware for the infotainment system onto a mobile storage medium; and transferring the public key and the content or the firmware from the mobile storage medium to the infotainment system.
