Abstract: Disclosed is an optical recording medium, including three or more information recording layers, characterized in that the refractive indices of a plurality of intermediate layers each disposed between an adjacent pair of the information recording layers are larger than that of a cover layer disposed between an incident surface and the information recording layer that is the closest to the incident surface. With this, crosstalk caused by light beams reflected from multiple surfaces is reduced and thereby the signal quality is improved in the optical recording medium including the three or more information recording layers.
