The objective of the present invention is to provide a mobile electronic commerce system that is superior in safety and usability. The mobile electronic commerce system comprises an electronic wallet 100, supply sides 101, 102, 103, 104 and 105, and a service providing means 110 that is connected by communication means. The service providing means installs a program for an electronic ticket, an electronic payment card, or an electronic telephone card. The electronic wallet employs the installed card to obtain a product or a service or entrance permission. The settlement process is performed by the electronic wallet and the supply side via the communication means, and data obtained during the settlement process are managed by being transmitted to the service providing means at a specific time. A negotiable card can be easily obtained, and when the negotiable card is used the settlement process can be quickly and precisely performed.

The present invention realizes electronic commerce by providing a portable terminal (501). The portable terminal comprises a receiver, a barcode former, a display (590) and a detector (725). The receiver receives data representing product information and service information. The barcode former forms barcode data, based on the data received, the barcode data including a plurality of display barcodes, information defining the display order of the barcodes and information representing an end of the display of the plurality of display barcodes. The display (590) displays the barcode data generated by the barcode former. The detector (725) detects light or a signal from a barcode reader (708). The detection result of the detector influences the switching of the display from the currently displayed barcode to the display barcode next in the display order. The barcode reader is provided at a shop terminal etc. to read one of the plurality of barcodes.

There is provided an electronic informationbackup system to safely backup the electronic value information such as electronic money or electronic ticket or the like on a server through communication, eliminate illegal behavior at thebackup time and recovery time and also recover the electronic value information from the backup condition at the emergency time such as the case where the key information has been lost. In this system, the electronic value information is encrypted and registered on the electronic safe server to receive the registration certificate, thereafter the registration certificate is presented to the server to receive the encryption electronic value information and this information is then decoded with the decoding key as the data. The decoding key maybe stored to the other server. Moreover, it is also possible to store the numerical stream of ciphers as the source of the decoding key to the server and such numerical stream may also be generated as the decoding key using the decoding key generation algorithm in the terminal side. If the decoding key is lost, the owner authentication information is inspected and thereafter the decoding key can be received from the server.
