    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna unit having excellent radiation efficiency for a folding-type mobile terminal. SOLUTION: The antenna unit 20 is mounted on a mobile terminal having a metal hinge part 24 for connecting a first housing and a second housing, and comprises a ground layer 21 arranged inside the first housing, a power supply part 22 formed in the ground layer 21, and a power supply element 23 electrically connected to the power supply part 22 and the hinge part 24. In this configuration, the hinge part 24 and the power supply element 23 have the length which generates approximately 1/4 wavelength resonance in a first frequency band. In other words, as the hinge part 24 functions as an antenna, deterioration of radiation efficiency which has been a problem in conventional antenna units can be suppressed.
