Abstract:
The subkey data generating unit 101 has two different subkey key generation processes. When encrypting a (T*n) plaintext block (where T denotes a predetermined cycle and n is a positive integer), sixteen sets of subkey data are generated. In all other cases, two sets of subkey data are generated. The encrypting unit 100 encrypts the plaintext using the generated sixteen or two sets of subkey data.
Abstract:
AN EXECUTING DEVICE CONDUCTS PLAYBACK OF CONTENTS. THE EXECUTING DEVICE IS EQUIPPED WITH A HIGHLY EFFICIENT PROCESSOR AND REDUCES THE PROCESSING LOAD INVOLVED IN VERIFICATION BY USING, FOR THE VERIFICATION, ONLY A PREDETERMINED NUMBER OF ENCRYPTED UNITS SELECTED RANDOMLY FROM MULTIPLE ENCRYPTED UNITS CONSTITUTING ENCRYPTED CONTENTS RECORDED ON A DVD. IN ADDITION, THE EXECUTING DEVICE IS CAPABLE OF IMPROVING THE ACCURACY OF DETECTING UNAUTHORIZED CONTENTS BY RANDOMLY SELECTING A PREDETERMINED NUMBER OF ENCRYPTED UNITS EVERY TIME THE VERIFICATION IS PERFORMED.
Abstract:
A data converter (1) capable of reducing a size of the total implementation in a device is a processing apparatus that performs secret converting processing predetermined to input data with 64 bits, the data converter including a finite field polynomial cubing unit (10), data integrating units (11a) to (11d), (12) and (13), a first converter (14), a second converter (15), a data splitting unit (16), and a data integrating unit (17). The finite field polynomial cubing unit (10) performs cubing, on the 32 bits data, in the polynomial residue class ring with a value in the finite field GF (28) as a coefficient and respectively outputs data with 32 bits.
Abstract:
A point calculating device capable of guiding a user to a specific transportation means out of transportation means. The point calculating device collects from vehicle devices the degree of congestion of each vehicle and collects from collecting devices the degree of congestion of each train. Based on the degree of congestion of each vehicle and the degree of congestion of each train that are collected, the point calculating device calculates a train point and a vehicle point such that the lower the degree of congestion the higher the points. Further, the point calculating device receives utilization information from a portable terminal, where the utilization information is composed of a vehicle code identifying a vehicle that a user used and the date and time of the utilization. When the received utilization information is correct, the point calculating device transmits to the portable terminal a train point and a vehicle point that relate to the train and vehicle that the user used.
Abstract:
A recording/reproduction device (10) receives a content broadcast from a content supply device (11). The recording/reproduction device (10) encrypts the received content by using a device key and generates a first encrypted content. The recording/reproduction device (10) decrypts the first encrypted content generated, and generates a content. The recording/reproduction device (10) subjects the generated content to an image conversion so as to generate a converted content and encrypts the generated converted content by using a medium key so as to generate a second encrypted content. The recording/reproduction device (10) writes the second encrypted content, the medium key, and the device key into a portable medium (14). When the portable medium (14) is inserted into a mobile information terminal (15), the mobile information terminal (15) decrypts the second encrypted content by the medium key and reproduces it.
Abstract:
A recorder/reproducer (101) writes second content data produced by re-encoding first content data recorded on a first recording medium onto a second recording medium in place of the first content data when it is transferred, writes one or more first partial information extracted from the first content data onto the second recording medium, and alters the first content data into non-reproducible state using one or more first invalidated partial information corresponding one by one with the extracted one or more first partial information. The recorder/reproducer alters the first content data under non-reproducible state into reproducible state using one or more first partial information recorded on the second recording medium when recovering the first content data.
Abstract:
A recording/playback apparatus is capable of using pre-image-converted content in a case of transferring an image-converted content to another device, then back from transfer-destination device to the recording/playback apparatus. The recording/playback apparatus includes a storage unit that stores a first encrypted content generated by encrypting the content, a second encrypted content generated by performing an irreversible compression to convert the content, thereby obtaining a converted content, and by encrypting the converted content, and a content key for decryption of the first and second encrypted contents, a key transfer unit that writes the content key to the external recording medium, and erases the content key stored in the storage unit, and a content transfer unit that, after the content key has been erased, writes the second encrypted content to the external recording medium, and erases the second encrypted content from the storage unit.
Abstract:
Processing load on an executing device for conducting playback is high during the playback of contents since the executing device performs verification of the contents validity in parallel with the contents playback, and therefore the executing device has to be equipped with a highly efficient processor. The present invention reduces the processing load involved in the verification by using, for the verification, only a predetermined number of encrypted units selected randomly from multiple encrypted units constituting encrypted contents recorded on the DVD. In addition, the present invention is capable of improving the accuracy of detecting unauthorized contents to some extent by randomly selecting a predetermined number of encrypted units every time the verification is performed.
Abstract:
A service user's personal information that has been verified and to which a digital signature has been attached by a personal information verification apparatus 11 (signed-personal information) is stored in a highly secure form within a service user apparatus 12. For receiving services, the service user apparatus 12 transmits the signed-personal information stored therein, to a service provider apparatus 13. The service provider apparatus 13 verifies the signed-personal information based on the digital signature, and then provides services based on the personal information.
