Abstract: A decoding device (30a) comprises a narrow-band decoding unit (31) operable to reproduce a PCM signal (P1) from a narrow-band bit stream included in a wide-band bit stream (S0), a wide-band decoding unit (32) operable to reproduce a PCM signal (P2) having a frequency band which is wider than that of the PCM signal (P1) reproduced by the narrow-band decoding unit (31) from the narrow-band bit stream and a band expanding bit stream included in the wide band bit stream (S0) and a selecting unit (34) operable to select either the PCM signal (P1) reproduced by the narrow-band decoding unit (31) or the PCM signal (P2) reproduced by the wide-band decoding unit (32), and to output the selected sound digital signal.

Abstract: This acoustic signal processing method includes: an acquisition step for acquiring first position information that indicates the position of an object, which is a mobile entity, in a virtual space and second position information that indicates the position of a listener in the virtual space; a first calculation step for calculating the movement speed of the object on the basis of the acquired first position information; a second calculation step for calculating the distance between the object and the listener on the basis of the acquired first position information and the acquired second position information; a generation step for generating an aerodynamic sound signal on the basis of the calculated movement speed and the calculated distance, the aerodynamic sound signal indicating an aerodynamic sound generated as wind produced due to movement of the object reaches the ears of the listener; and an output step for outputting the generated aerodynamic sound signal.

Abstract: This acoustic signal processing method comprises: a first acquisition step for acquiring object information which includes first location information expressing the location of an object in a virtual space, first sound data expressing a first sound caused by the object, and first identification information expressing a processing means for the first sound data, and second location information which expresses the location of the listener; a first calculation step for calculating the distance between the object and the listener on the basis of the first location information included in the acquired object information, and the acquired second location information; a determination step for determining the processing means for processing the first sound data from among a first processing means for performing volume processing corresponding to the calculated distance and a second processing means for performing volume processing corresponding to a distance calculated by a method which differs from that of the first processing means, on the basis of the first identification information included in the acquired object information; a first processing step for processing the first sound data via the determined processing means; and a first output step for outputting the processed first sound data.
