Abstract: The embodiments provide a spillover fitting that allows cable to be routed out of a cable routing channel in a manner that allows for the transition of routing of the cable from a generally horizontal direction to a generally vertical direction. The spillover fitting includes a transition guide that receives cable from a raceway channel and routes the cable out of the channel and into a downward guide, avoiding subjecting the cable to an abrupt transition by orienting the transition guide at an angle less than 90° to the raceway channel. The spillover fitting includes an attachment member for securing the fitting to an outer surface of the bottom wall of the raceway channel and may include a hinged cover over the downward guide.

Abstract: A modular raceway outlet station for use with a trunking duct which has a divider wall and a top access opening, includes an offset power box having a projection extending lateral from a top wall of the box having a top portion and an abutment portion which depends from the furthest extent of the top portion and is adapted to be substantially aligned with an edge of the top access opening, wherein the abutment portion does not project into the top access opening; and an opening formed in the abutment portion of the projection which communicates with an aperture formed in a side wall of the box adjacent the duct. The outlet station further includes, an extension which is adapted to extend over the top access opening having an abutment surface which aligns flush against the abutment portion of the projection; a routing notch formed in the abutment surface corresponding in longitudinal extent to the opening formed in the abutment portion of the projection; and a guide wall depending from the extension, interiorly adjacent the routing notch, having a longitudinal extent greater than the routing notch, and adapted to be substantially vertically aligned with the divider wall. Wherein, the power conductors may be routed out of and over the duct, and into the offset power box before installation of the extension and the power conductors remain completely isolated from the communication conductors after the extension is installed.

Abstract: The reenterable wirway system (10) of the present invention includes a channel-shaped slotted duct (16), an integrally co-extruded U-shaped cover assembly (18) and discrete latches. The duct has an elongate base (20) and two substantially parallel duct walls (22) extending generally perpendicularly from the base with each of the walls disposed adjacent respective longitudinal edges thereof. The duct walls (22) include at least a pair of adjacent duct fingers (24) which define a slot (26) permitting selective routing of wires of the bundle. The cover assembly (18) has an elongate planar center element (34) with a plurality of hinges (36) and a plurality of corner elements (38), which have a first component co-planar with the central element, and a second component depending normal to the first component disposed. The orientation of the first and second components may be changed when the cover is molded to be biased in a "remain open" position. A plurality of discrete latches (44) are disposed at spaced locations on each respective second component having a locking mechanism which cooperates with the slot between adjacent duct fingers to secure the cover assembly to the duct. Each side of the cover assembly (18) is removably secured to the duct, and the cover assembly may be pivoted in either direction to an open position by unlatching the locking mechanisms disposed on a longitudinal side of the cover assembly and pivoting the cover assembly about an opposite hinge.
