Abstract:
A network cabinet is provided comprising an electronic component positioned within the network cabinet. The electronic component comprises means for generating a side-to-side airflow for cooling heat generating components within the electronic component and a side exhaust vent. The network cabinet further comprises a duct system comprising first and second duct members wherein the first duct member defines a first opening aligned with the side exhaust vent, such that the first duct member receives side exhaust air therefrom. The second duct member extends from the first duct member, beyond the rear of the electronic component within the network cabinet, and defines a second opening facing the rear of the network cabinet. As a result, the first and second duct members provide a conduit for directing airflow from the side exhaust vent to the rear of the network cabinet.
Abstract:
A network cabinet comprising an electronic component a duct positioned therein. The electronic component has at least one exhaust vent and the duct defines first and second openings. The first opening aligns with the exhaust vent such that the duct receives exhaust therefrom and the duct extends from the first opening toward a side of the network cabinet such that the second opening faces the side of the cabinet to direct the exhaust thereto.
