    Abstract: PURPOSE: To retard movement of oral medicine in the stomach and intestines by releasing system for the said medicine consisting of a device to release it slowly equipped with discontinuous compression element; to resist movement of the medicine as for dilatation type by a device to retain it in the stomach which is effectively maintained therein, and that if the contour of the device is changed, the medicine will be released and separated from the stomach to be dissolved. CONSTITUTION: Total capacity in an oral administration system is determined according to anatomy or physiology on mammals for oral medicine to be given. As to the use for human beings, the maximum dimensions of the system at the time of dilatation are, from practical point of view, 2.5cm to 6.0cm, preferably 3.0cm to 5.0cm. The system herein referred to has a various range of contours partially measured according to that of the said releasing device. In the case of the system except for sphere or circle, minimum and maximum dimensions of the dilatation type are 2.5cm and 6.0cm respectively. Major factors to sustain the distribution system mentioned herein in digestive tract are overall dimensions (length and width), contour and hardness of arm.
