Abstract: The unit has a patient table (1), a fluorescence imager (61) that is moved using a first carriage (6), an X-ray source (2) above the table that is coupled to the first carriage and a transmission imager (71) that moves on a second carriage (7), which moves independently of the first carriage. A drive system (8,9,81,91) moves the carriages synchronously in one mode, and moves the second carriage with respect to the first in a second mode. An Independent claim is included for a patient table.
