Abstract: The communication system consists of a microprocessor (2), a direct memory access unit (3) and an I2C interface (4) that are connected to a an internal bus with an address bus (62) and an internal data bus (61). An interrupt control unit (11) is provided in the CPU having a control line (8) that is connected to the I2C interface. The DMA unit is also connected with the interface and this connects the system to an I2C bus.
