Abstract:
A conversion element (3) comprising a ceramic material (31) with a multiplicity of pores (32) provided for at least the partial absorption of at least one primary radiation (52) and for transforming the primary radiation (52) into at least one secondary radiation (53), wherein the conversion element (3) has a density greater than or equal to 97% of the theoretical solid-state density of the ceramic material (31), and the pores (32) in the conversion element (3) have a diameter substantially between 200 nm and 5000 nm.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a white emitting light source with an improved luminescent material of the formula (AEN2/3)*b (MN)*c (SiN4/3)*d1 CeO3/2*d2 EuO*x SiO2*y AlO3/2 wherein AE is an alkaline earth metal chosen of the group of Ca, Mg, Sr and Ba or mixtures thereofand M is a trivalent element chosen of the group of Al, B, Ga, Sc withd1> 10* d2. In combination with a UV to blue light generating device this material leads to an improved light quality and stability, especially an improved temperature stability for a wide range of applications.
