Abstract:
Method for optimizing the positioning of display elements on a user interface monitor, whereby the objects or windows are automatically positioned according to their content, selected preference rules and available presentation resources. Scale and size are adjusted between maximum and minimum values so that unimportant details or information are minimized, while more important details are maximized.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of selecting objects of a user interface on a display screen, in which a selection coefficient is determined for an object (O4) with reference to predetermined parameters, which selection coefficient serves for selecting the object. When selecting an object from a group of objects (O4, O5) of the user interface, the object that has the largest determined selection coefficient among the objects of the group can be selected.
Abstract:
Technique for deriving a graphical representation of domain-specific display- objects on an external display (13) within a patient-monitoring system (1), in which only a small amount of data has to be transmitted to the external display device (3) and at the same time the user of the external display (13) gets the same "look and feel" as he is used to from the built-in display (12) of a patient monitor (2).
