Abstract: The CD changer has storage compartments (16) which are each formed in two parts, a lid (16a) and a base (16b). The lids and bases are transported in the same direction to move the discs within a stack unit. To transfer a disc (3) to a playing position, the lid and base are move relative to each other, so that a space is formed between them.
