Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine operating parameters required for a power supply system with ease. SOLUTION: The power supply system having a converter for a resonance constitution including a transformer is provided with a measuring instrument for determining operating parameters required for the system. The measuring instrument actuates the converter so that application of voltage to the elements of the power supply system is stopped first, a specified output voltage is generated, and one or more parameters specific to the resonance constitution are determined from the measured value of resonance current appearing on the primary side of the transformer. Preferably after a short exciting interval, resonance frequency, the impedance of the resonance constitution, the capacitance value of resonance capacitance, and leakage inductance are determined based on the current path.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillation circuit which precisely adapts an oscillation frequency to the resonance frequency of an electronic device supplying power and corrects the oscillation frequency so that the value of the device falls within the range of allowable error through the use of the minimum number of circuitry. SOLUTION: In a circuit device containing an oscillation circuit 1, and the series arrangement of a resistor R1 and a capacitor C1 and where the series arrangement determines the oscillation frequency of the oscillation circuit 1, a resistance coupling R2 whose output supplies a control signal showing the oscillation mode of an electronic device 2 is provided between the control signal output S of the electronic device 2 and series arrangement. The resistance coupling R2 is provided between the series arrangement of the resistor and the capacitor C1 and the control signal output S of the electronic device 2 supplying power and the control signal output of the electronic device 2 supplies the control signal showing an oscillation mode and therefore the oscillation frequency of the oscillation circuit 1 can sufficiently be adapted to the resonance frequency of the electronic device 2. Then, the allowable error of the electronic device 2 can sufficiently be corrected.

Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for operating a lamp comprising: circuit input terminals for connection to a supply voltage source; an inverter coupled to said circuit input terminals for generating an AC voltage with a frequency f out of a supply voltage supplied by the supply voltage source and equipped with inverter output terminals; a piezotransformer comprising transformer input terminals, coupled to the inverter output terminals, and transformer output terminals; terminals for lamp connection coupled to the inverter output terminals; a detector for detecting whether the lamp has ignited. In accordance to the invention the transformer input terminals are connected to the inverter output terminals only by means of passive components and in that the inverter comprises means coupled to the detector for changing the frequency f in response to the ignition of the lamp. As a result the circuit arrangement is simple and inexpensive and need not comprise means for switching the piezotransformer out of the circuit after ignition of the lamp.

The starting antenna comprises an antenna container (20) and a further electrode (22) which antenna container (20) is closed in a gas-tight manner and contains an ionizable fill, the further electrode (22) being connected to the further current conductor (24). This makes it possible to realize a shorter reignition time by means of a higher reignition voltage on the starting antenna while spark-over from the starting antenna (2) to the lamp vessel (10) is avoided.
