Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate any spark taking place on a screen peripheral edge by surrounding an active range by means of one track for collecting the re- discharged secondary electrons and separating the active range from the peripheral edge of the active range by means of an interval within the insulating material of the track. SOLUTION: An insulation interval 22 must be made sufficiently large for avoiding any electric arc taking place between an active range 20 and a collective link 21. However, the interval 22 is made as narrow as possible so as to avoid any expansion of a positive electric load range within this interval. The width of the interval 22 is made smaller than the average distance liable to be progressed by those secondary electrons discharged from the surface of this interval, with provision of allowance by a bias voltage. Thereby, the entire secondary electrons re-discharged from the insulating material 22 are collected by material 21. Accordingly, such a phenomenon as propagation of the secondary electrons to a sealed joint between an anode and a cathode. Furthermore, by having the ring 21 biased, the corresponding electric load can be eliminated.

SOLUTION: In an anode of such type containing at least one group of phosphor strips (r, g, b) disposed on conductive strips 9r, 9b, 9g and at least one of conductors 21r, 21g, 21b for phosphor strips linked with each other, the conductive strips 9r, 9g, 9b are linked with each other through resistors 22r, 22g, 22b disposed in series between conductors 21r, 21g, 21b associated therewith and linked with each other.

Abstract: The anode flat screen connecting structure has parallel cathode strips (9r,9g,9b) for each colour, above luminous micropoints. The strips are connected to solid resistances (22). The other end of the resistance blocks is connected to parallel tracks (21r,21g,21b) which form the voltage rails. There is an isolation layer (23) to isolate the voltage rails from the resistors. Each resistor has an opening (24r,24g) at one end and a second opening (25b,25g) at the other end.

An insulator (8) separating the electrode bands serves as a mask to increase the resistivity of the resistance bands by heat treatment in an atmosphere of oxygen. Alternatively, the thickness of the material may vary the resistivity with the insulator acting as a etching mask. Three such assemblies are used to mfr. a colour screen.
