Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a treatment under specified conditions after incorporating phosphor particles in a serigraphic binder solution to firmly and efficiently form a coat of lead oxide or the like on the surface of a phosphor deposited on a substrate to afford an anodic conductive track for flat display screens. SOLUTION: The subject method for enclosing a phosphor comprises the following procedure: a solution of a serigraphic binder such as polyvinyl alcohol containing lead nitrite or indium nitrite is incorporated with particles of a phosphor selected from the group consisting of Gd2O2S: Tb, Y2SiO5: Tb, Y2SiO5: Ce, Y2O3: Eu and ZnO: Zn followed by depositing the phosphor on a substrate by serigraphy and then making an annealing at 400-500 deg.C for several hours to form a lead oxide or indium oxide coat on the surface of the phosphor deposited as described above; wherein it is preferable that 10 g of the solution contains 6-10 g of the phosphor and the solution is incorporated with a defoaming agent as well.

Abstract: Formation of zinc oxide or indium oxide layer on the surface of a luminophor deposited on a substrate involves adding the luminophor grains to an aqueous solution containing dissolved zinc nitrate or indium nitrate, polyvinyl alcohol (serigraphic binder) and antifoaming agent in water, deposition, and annealing. 1-0.6g of the nitrate and 6-10g of the luminophor are dissolved in 10g of the solution. The luminophor is selected from the following: Gd2O2S:Tb, Y2SiO5:Tb, Y2SiO5:Ce, Y2O3:Eu and ZnO:Zn. Annealing is carried out at 400-500 degrees C for several hours.
