Abstract: A plastic hose of limited conductivity designed to bleed static electric charges such as encountered in paint spraying. The hose has a conventional tube (2), reinforcement (3 and 4), and cover (5). The novel element is a static electric drain element (6) mounted between two components of the hose comprised of a tape or beading made from a beat sinterable thermoplastic material filled with carbon black.
