Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, as a first object, a simplified optical system of an optical mouse. SOLUTION: This invented optical mouse has a housing of a bottom part of a solid construction, a lens set component and a circuit board for a control circuit. The housing of the bottom part has a base for an opening and a light source. The lens set component is placed on the opening. The circuit board has the light source and the light source that are attached thereon. The circuit board is fixed on the lens set component and inside the housing of the bottom part, and assists to fix the lens set component in the housing of the bottom part. The light source is disposed in the base for the light source. The base for the light source assists to determine the directional angle of the light source in the housing of the bottom part, so that the light beam from the light source passes through the opening and is pointed to the surface on which the optical mouse slides. The light beam reflected from the surface passes through the lens set component and arrives at the photo sensor.
