Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device capable of reeling a cable so as not to limit the movement of the pointing device by the cable entangled with each other or entangled and hooked with other articles. SOLUTION: The pointing device is provided with a housing, a sensing circuit provided within the housing for generating pointing signals, the cable connected to the sensing circuit for outputting the pointing signals to an externally connected device and a cable reeling means for reeling in or reeling out the cable. The cable reeling means reels in or reels out the cable by a bobbin freely turnably provided inside.
