A device includes a sound wave reception unit that receives a sound wave output from a mobile device, through a sound wave reception device; a control information acquisition unit that acquires control information associated with operation of the device from the received sound wave; and an operation performance unit that performs the operation based on the control information. The control information acquisition unit determines a frequency band, to which at least one frequency identified from a certain frame within the received sound wave corresponds, from an audible sound wave frequency band and a non-audible sound wave frequency band, and partial information based on the frequency band and the at least one identified frequency, and acquires control information corresponding to the received sound wave based on each of the determined partial information.

A user device includes a storage device that stores a program for a vehicular service, a signal generation unit that generates a certain sound wave signal depending on the vehicular service, and a signal emission unit that emits the generated sound wave signal. When one component of a vehicle receives and recognizes the emitted sound wave signal, the vehicle provides the vehicular service based on the emitted sound wave signal.

Disclosed are a device and a method for outputting a sound wave for content synchronization between devices and operation control of an external device, and the external device. The device for outputting a sound wave according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a storage unit configured to store content data of content; a playing unit configured to play the content data; and an output unit configured to output a sound wave as a result of the playing of the content data, wherein the sound wave allows an external device to initiate an operation associated with the content.

In this case, the sound wave data generation unit determines a first frequency corresponding to the first symbol and a second frequency corresponding to the second symbol, and generates the sound wave data based on the first frequency and the second frequency, and the sound wave data includes a portion corresponding to the first frequency and a portion corresponding to the second frequency.

A decoding apparatus includes a sound code input unit that receives a sound code output from an encoding apparatus through a sound wave reception device; a frame division unit that divides the sound code depending on a predetermined time interval to generate a plurality of frames; a frequency identification unit that identifies a frequency corresponding to each of the plurality of the frames through frequency analysis for each of the plurality of the frames; and an information generation unit that determines a frequency band, to which each of the identified frequencies corresponds, from an audible sound wave frequency band and a non-audible sound wave frequency band, and a plurality of partial information based on the frequency band and each of the identified frequencies, and generates information corresponding to the sound code based on the plurality of the partial information.
