Abstract: FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: device provides for establishing contact between aircraft on-board radio station and ground cellular radiophone system as well as for locating on-board radiophone by ground system and for calling it in case call is received from ground telephone station. Ground base station is connected to vertically directed antennas and to aircraft-shaping cells. When aircraft carrying radio station crosses mentioned cells, on-board repeater receives signals from base station and relays them to radio station. When radio station receives signals, repeater transmits these signals through aircraft-shaping cells to base station. Since aircraft moves from cell to cell, aircraft-to-ground communication channel is re- distributed to next cell to maintain communication with ground. Abstract: FIELD: communications. SUBSTANCE: first method involves delay of "softer" transmission. Second method involves decreased power of transmission from sector with lowermost signal level. Third method involves interruption of transmission from sector with lowermost signal level. Fourth method involves use of additional central node or only sector if robust operations of mobile unit require additional power. All four methods involve continued demodulation of reply transmission line during transmission through direct transmission line or without communication through direct transmission line. Operation in all four methods is based on signal level on direct or reply transmission lines. In addition two or several methods may be joined to achieved mixed method. EFFECT: increased signal-to-noise ratio, decreased power transmitted from central node, improved soft transmission method to improve operations of down-link transmission line. 22 cl, 3 dwgd
