Abstract:
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. An apparatus may be configured to generate canvas rendering instructions associated with at least one application on the apparatus. The apparatus may be configured to encode the canvas rendering instructions into a data stream based on a remote rendering protocol. The apparatus may be configured to transmit the data stream to a sink device to enable at least the partial rendering of a source canvas of the apparatus onto a sink canvas of the sink device. The data stream may include the encoded canvas rendering instructions.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for remote display of content in a wireless network. A source device capable of displaying content may identify one or more rendering instructions for content to be displayed remotely on a sink device. The source device may transmit the one or more rendering instructions to the sink device via a wireless peer-to-peer connection. The sink device may receive the one or more rendering instructions and may execute the one or more rendering instructions to render a display of at least part of the content. Further, the source device may receive data from the sink device via the wireless peer-to-peer connection. The identifying of the one or more rendering instructions by the source device may thus include identifying at least one rendering instruction based at least in part on the received data.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, apparatuses, and devices are described for reverse channel audio (RCA) session establishment and management. A sink device may identify a unidirectional communication channel with a source device. The sink device may determine that a trigger is present, where the trigger is associated with a RCA transmission to the source device, and establish a RCA session for transmitting the RCA transmission to the source device based at least in part on the identified trigger. A source device may identify a unidirectional communication channel with a sink device and receive an indication that a sink device supports RCA transmissions, such as via the unidirectional communication channel. The source device may transmit a trigger to the sink device to initiate the RCA transmission, such as via the unidirectional communication channel, and receive the RCA transmission from the sink device based at least in part on the trigger.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, systems, and non-transitory process-readable storage media for scalable data service distribution in WiFi Miracast. A processor of a source computing device in a WiFi Miracast network may group all sink computing devices scheduled to receive a frame or packet of a service into a single multicast group and transmit a multicast frame or packet to the sink computing devices. Individual sink computing devices in a WiFi Miracast network may be configured to send error logs indicating the quality of their respective wireless connections with a source computing device to the source computing device. A source computing device may add multicast group member sink computing devices to a unicast group based at least in part on missing and/or received error logs from the multicast group member sink computing devices.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for using a back channel for communicating in a Wi-Fi peer-to-peer remote display connection. A Wi-Fi peer-to-peer remote display connection may be established with a source device. Communications may be transmitted from a sink device to the source device using a back channel of the Wi-Fi peer-to-peer remote display connection. The sink device may connect with a plurality of source devices. A plurality of input streams may be multiplexed into a single output stream. The single output stream may be distributed to the plurality of source devices using back channels of the Wi-Fi peer-to-peer remote display connection. In addition, a source device may connect, via a wired connection, with a sink device. Wi-Fi connection parameters may be exchanged with the wired connection. A Wi-Fi peer-to-peer connection may be established based at least in part on the Wi-Fi connection parameters.
