Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time for positioning in a positioning system of GPS base. SOLUTION: Satellite ephemeris data associated with satellite vehicles is selectively transmitted to a mobile station within a wireless communication system. The mobile station can selectively request satellite ephemeris data from a position determination entity (PDE) that is in communication with one or more GPS satellite vehicles (SV). The mobile station forecasts the satellite vehicles that theoretically are available. Then, the mobile station checks to see if valid ephemeris data is locally stored. If ephemeris data is desired and not locally available, the mobile station transmits a selective ephemeris request to the PDE and receives, in response to the request, the ephemeris corresponding to the SV identified in the ephemeris request. Los datos de efemerides del satelite asociados con los vehiculos de satelite en un Sistema de Posicionamiento Global (GPS) pueden transmitirse selectivamente, en base al sistema de localizacion de ubicacion, a una estacion movil dentro de un sistema de comunicacion inalambrico; la estacion movil solicita selectivamente los datos de efemerides del satelite desde una Entidad de Determinacion de Ubicacion (PDE) que se encuentra en comunicacion con uno o mas vehiculos de satelite GPS (SV); la estacion movil provee los vehiculos de satelite que estan disponibles teoricamente; entonces, la estacion movil verifica para ver si se almacenan localmente los datos de efemerides validos; si se desean y no estan disponibles localmente los datos de efemerides, la estacion movil transmite una solicitud de efemerides selectiva a la PDE y recibe, en respuesta a la solicitud, las efemerides correspondiente al SV identificado en la solicitud de efemerides; puede implementarse la solicitud de efemerides selectiva y metodo de actualizacion de satelite selectivo de acuerdo con las normas de localizacion de ubicacion actualmente disponibles.
