Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein protect components of a user equipment (UE), such as a low noise amplifier (LNA), from internal interference. For example, the LNA may be disconnected from a receive chain during periods of high internal interference, and may be reconnected to the receive chain during periods of low internal interference. Furthermore, some techniques and apparatuses described herein improve performance by adjusting operations of the UE to account for and/or offset increased internal interference due to a receive chain that does not include a surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter to remove unwanted radio frequency signals. For example, one or more operations of a baseband processor may be modified to account for the increased internal interference. Additionally, or alternatively, reporting of channel state information may be modified to account for increased internal interference of the UE. Additional details are described herein.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may monitor a channel for wireless communication associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) during one or more of a first active duration or a first inactive duration. The UE may operate in a first power mode during the first inactive duration. The UE may monitor the channel for wireless communication associated with a second RAT during one or more of a second active duration or a second inactive duration. The UE may operate during the second inactive duration in one or more of the first power mode or a second power. The UE may operate according to the first mode or the second mode based on the monitoring of the channel associated with the first RAT and the second RAT.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for range-based transmission parameter adjustment. In an example aspect, the apparatus includes a first antenna, a second antenna, and a wireless transceiver. The wireless transceiver is coupled to the first antenna and the second antenna. The wireless transceiver is configured to transmit a proximity detection signal via the first antenna. The wireless transceiver is also configured to receive a reflected proximity detection signal via the second antenna. The reflected proximity detection signal including a portion of the proximity detection signal that is reflected by an object. The wireless transceiver is additionally configured to adjust a transmission parameter based on the reflected proximity detection signal. The transmission parameter varies according to a range to the object. The wireless transceiver is further configured to transmit an uplink signal using the transmission parameter.
