Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for presenting interactable item information include receiving interaction information relating to one or more interactable items. The methods and apparatus may further include calculating a display rate for displaying the interaction information. The display rate is based upon a number of the interaction information occurring during a time period. The methods and apparatus may also include sending a feed with the interaction information and the display rate for generation on an output mechanism.
Abstract:
Systems and methods according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure provide improved multitasking on user devices. In an embodiment, a method for multitasking comprises detecting a non-touch gesture input received by a user device. The method also comprises associating the non-touch gesture input with an application running in a background, wherein a different focused application is running in a foreground. And the method also comprises controlling the background application with the associated non-touch gesture input without affecting the foreground application.
Abstract:
Apparatus, methods, processors, and computer readable media for receiving or transmitting content based on a presentation area size of a communication device are provided. In one aspect, the method includes obtaining a presentation area size of a display on a first communication device, and obtaining a first portion of content from a second communication device located across a communications network. The first portion of content is based on the presentation area size. The method further includes storing the first portion of content in a memory of the first communication device.
Abstract:
A communication device or handset presents a contextual catalog of content items to enhance mobile shopping user experience, mitigating display limitations for generally large content catalogs. Contextual information available on the handset, such as Global Positioning System (GPS) location or other readable parameters, can be used to determine unique, relevant categories, content or offers, for displaying through a user interface. Categories such as 'local' can be generated on-the-fly using GPS for a personalized content browsing experience. Additional context such as knowing that the user and device are rarely in a location (e.g., specific neighborhood, particular city, or country) can be used to generate unique price plans (such as day passes) that the user can use when travelling.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for accessing licensable items unique to a geographic area via a wireless device are provided. The method and apparatus may include obtaining access to licensable items available in a first location of the wireless device. The methods and apparatus may further include downloading a licensable item. The licensable item is associated with a license providing the wireless device with a right to distribute the licensable item. The methods and apparatus may also include leaving a virtual copy of the licensable item in a second location of the wireless device different from the first location using the right to distribute.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for communication are provided. A content providing device is operable to use engagement level information to modify presentation of content. In one aspect, the content providing device may determine that an engagement level at a first time is less than an engagement threshold at the first time. The engagement level may be based at least on one or more contextual items associated with presentation of content by the content providing device. Further, the content providing device may store a marker associated with the content at the first time in storage. Moreover, the content providing device may determine whether the engagement level at a second time is greater than or equal to the engagement threshold.
Abstract:
One mobile device in a group of mobile devices, such as a "family plan" or a "business plan", is identified as a master phone. The master phone issues messages, such as special SMS messages, to the other mobile devices in the group. These special SMS messages are operative to control features (e.g., enable/disable certain applications, programs, or services) on the other mobile devices.

Abstract:
A method of recording activity at a wireless device is provided. The method includes receiving a record command, determining a user activity at the wireless device, and determining available memory at the wireless device. The method further includes recording the user activity to create a device recording at least partially based on the user activity and the available memory.
