Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, periodically, at least one metric associated with a current reference signal on a sidelink. Accordingly, the UE may extend a time window allowed for a search for a new reference signal on the sidelink based at least in part on the at least one metric. For example, the UE may extend the time window as a function of a discontinuous reception cycle associated with the UE. Alternatively, the UE may extend the time window for a preconfigured amount of time. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) procedures for blind sidelink retransmissions. A first device may obtain a set of sidelink communication parameters that are associated with a second device. Based at least in part on the set of sidelink communication parameters, the first device may transmit to the second device a sidelink blind retransmission configuration. This configuration may include enablement of sidelink blind retransmission and/or establishment of a number of sidelink blind retransmissions. Other aspects, examples, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first sidelink message using a first beam, where the first sidelink message corresponds to a feedback time interval for receiving feedback associated with the first sidelink message. The UE may transmit a second sidelink message using a second beam that is different from the first beam, where the second beam is also associated with the feedback time interval for receiving feedback associated with the second sidelink message. The UE may then select (from one of the first beam of the second beam) a receive beam to receive feedback during the feedback time interval, and based on the receive beam selection, the UE may monitor for feedback associated with the first sidelink message or the second sidelink message, or both.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to perform groupcast transmission on a si delink channel of a high frequency band, such as a millimeter wave (mmW) band. The UE may transmit, via a sidelink channel, beamformed repetitions of a packet in multiple directions corresponding to multiple quality of service (QoS) profiles configured for transmission of the packet. The UE may determine precoders to transmit the packet in the multiple directions. Each repetition of the packet may be associated with a separate hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. The UE may perform precoder cycling to transmit the packet in the multiple directions, and the UE may retransmit the packet in directions where the initial transmission was unsuccessful.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for protocol stacks and bearer modeling for assisted Uu connectivity. A UE and a PN may each establish a first connection with an AN and, based on the first connections with the AN, establish a second connection with each other. Based on a bearer configuration, the UE may determine whether to route data to the PN via the first connection with the AN or directly to the PN via the second connection with the PN. Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a remote user equipment (UE) initiates a cell selection procedure, initiates, in response to failure of the cell selection procedure, a relay selection procedure, and establishes, in response to discovering a relay UE during the relay selection procedure that is available to provide one or more UE-to-network relay services to the remote UE, a sidelink with the relay UE. In another aspect, a remote UE establishes a first sidelink with a first relay UE to obtain one or more UE-to-network relay services from the first relay UE, performs a relay discovery procedure to determine whether at least one second relay UE is available for relay reselection, and initiates, based on the at least one second relay UE being available for relay reselection, a relay reselection procedure.
