Abstract: The present invention provides trifluoroacetyl copolymers useful as standard molecular weight markers in the intermediary stage for obtaining glatiramer acetate having desired average molecular weight. The present invention further provides a process for determining the average molecular weight of glatiramer acetate or other copolymers using molecular weight markers of protected polypeptides.
