Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process that can produce dibasic acids mainly containing adipic acid in a high purity enough to be directly used in the production of polyamide 6, 6 polymer as an intermediate, particularly useful as a fiber for woven fabric and enables the treatment of substantially all the compounds included in the washing water formed in the oxidation of cyclohexane. SOLUTION: When aliphatic dibasic acids are produced from the washing water that is obtained from the process of cyclohexane oxidation, the washing water is catalytically hydrogenated in the presence of at least one metal selected from the platinum group at 0 deg.C to 100 deg.C to remove peroxides in the washing water, then the products remaining in the washing water after decomposition of the peroxides are oxidized with nitric acid.

Abstract: The preparation of diacids from washing water of cyclohexane oxidation products comprises (a) removing the peroxide of the washing water by catalytic hydrogenation at 0-100 degrees C, in a continuous mode in a catalytic hydrogenation reactor, in the presence of a metal chosen from platinum's group; and (b) oxidation of the remaining products of the washing water by an aqueous solution of nitric acid of concentration of 55-60% or 4-8 moles excess of nitric acid per mole of functional alcohol contained in the solution to be treated.

Abstract: La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation de diacides ou de mélanges de diacides à partir des solutions aqueuses provenant du lavage des produits d'oxydation du cyclohexane. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir l'acide adipique ayant une pureté suffisante pour être utilisé comme intermédiaire de synthèse du polyamide-6,6 pour les fibres textiles ainsi que les mélange des acides adipiques glutamique et succinique de bonne qualité. Plus précisément, la présente invention consiste en un procédé de préparation de diacides aliphatiques, caractérisé en ce que l'on effectue les étapes suivantes: a) on déperoxyde au moins partiellement lesdites eaux de lavage, en les soumettant à une hydrogénation catalytique à une température comprise entre 0.degree.C et 100.degree.C, en présence d'au moins un métal choisi dans le groupe du platine; et b) on oxyde à l'aide d'acide nitrique les produits contenus dans les eaux de lavage après déperoxydation.

Abstract: The treatment of an aqueous solution resulting from sluicing of crude mononitrated or dinitrated aromatic compounds obtained by nitration of the corresponding aromatic compounds is carried out by: (a) contacting the aqueous solution with the aromatic compound resulting in an aqueous phase and an organic phase; (b) recycling of the organic phase in the nitration process; (c) distilling the aqueous phase; (d) recycling the resulting concentrated acid solution in the nitration process; (e) recycling or eliminating the recovered water after distillation. The contact of the aqueous solution with the aromatic compound is carried out in a mixer or in an extraction column in which the aqueous solution is fed at the head of the column and the aromatic compound at the foot of the column. Part of the aromatic compound is recycled in the same mixer unit and the other part is fed in another mixer unit located before or after, depending on whether the chosen extraction mode is counter-current or not. The distillation (step (c) is carried out using a column so as to obtain an acid solution of total concentration in acid comprising of 30-75%.
